Our Worship Service
Each Sunday, we gather in response to the Triune God’s invitation to serve and be served by Him in corporate worship, as we are called together, cleansed, consecrated, enjoy communion, and commissioned as His witnesses and representatives to the world.

If you would like to understand the biblical and theological rationale for why we worship the way we do, we recommend the book The Lord’s Service: The Grace of Covenant Renewal Worship by Pastor Jeff Meyers (PCA).

The Lord’s Supper
We observe the Lord’s Supper every Sunday as the climax of corporate worship. Following the pattern set by Christ in the gospels, we use wine and bread for the elements.  We invite to the Lord’s Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church. If you have any questions about your participation, please speak to the pastor or an elder before the service.

Children and Families in Worship
Families and children of all ages are welcome in our worship service. We believe corporate worship is for all baptized Christians, including covenant children. They too are members of the visible church and therefore belong in worship with all of God’s people. It is not we, but the Lord Himself who invites them into His presence.

As one of our confessions says: “The visible church… consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion; and of their children and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, the house and family of God, out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation.” (Westminster Confession of Faith, ch. 25)

Children and Communion
We affirm the ancient practice of child communion (often called paedocommunion). This means that on the basis of God’s covenant promises, we recognize that baptized children of believing Christian parents are members of the church, and part of the body of Christ. Therefore, we welcome the little children to the kingdom feast, the Lord’s Supper.
